The Landing agency Carbon Digital advances new Augmented Reality technology with Creative England’s ‘New Ideas Fund’

Carbon Digital have been awarded seed funding by Creative England’s ‘New Ideas Fund’ initiative.

The funding will help deliver an Augmented Reality prototype demonstrating the mechanics of the technology alongside VOD content.

The company is already in discussion with international commissioners interested in the concept which will be ready to pitch at in October.

MD, Sue McHugh commented, ‘Our ambition is to continue to build on our reputation for providing both creative AR solutions as well as offering an, off-the-shelf service applicable across multiple genres’.

The technology prototype is set to be launched at MIPTV in the autumn and will likely be presented through the newly launched MIPCOM Online + experience.

Carbon Digital were previously selected by Creative England as one of ten ‘Future Leaders’.
