GCHQ call for applications to the Research Fellowship Programme through The Landing
GCHQ is working with The Landing to engage with the thriving academic and tech ecosystem in Greater Manchester and the North West.
These Fellowships are designed to attract proven UK talent to work with the National Security community to address some of our challenge themes. You will be a leader in your field of expertise and have a strong desire to progress this discipline. Working with an Advisor from our community you will lead you own project and be supported by us to deliver fundamental research outputs. We aim to encourage high-quality effective ways of sharing ideas and expert insight into digital innovation and disruptive technologies. We are particularly interested in ethical approaches to ground-breaking digital research and innovation.
A GCHQ award of Research Fellow will give recognition to researchers meeting a demanding criterion that will be aspirational to the applicant and give evidence of career achievement. It is an opportunity for researchers and technologists to gain a career enhancing experience with the UK National Security Community.
What are the benefits?
The programme brings together leaders from academia, industry and other government departments with our own expertise to push research boundaries in areas of national interest.
You will control your own project leading the approach, milestones, reporting and outputs in collaboration with the Advisor and our programme authority.
Your expertise and enthusiasm will deliver real benefit to National Security priorities. For this call we are providing £75,000 over 6 months and an Advisor who is available to help steer, shape and align the project with our challenges.
Your host organisation will support this recognition of your specialist expertise as a Research Fellow. Encouraging your career development and contribution to National Security
