Merit360 Global Changemakers visit MediaCityUK

On 29th August The Landing was delighted to host World Merit’s “Merit360” changemakers – a group of 18-35 year olds tasked with coming up with an action plan to tackle the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This year’s teams include 130 participants from 48 countries, with each team working on one of the world’s most pressing issues such as poverty, education and climate. Merit360 2017 starts off in Chester, Liverpool and Manchester before heading to London to present their Action Plan.

Spending the day here in MediaCityUK, the teams spent time learning new skills in marketing and storytelling from the experts, before breaking out into their groups in The Landing’s coworking spaces to begin developing marketing plans for spreading the word about their Action Plans.

The Landing’s conference room in On The 7th hosted sessions and talks through the day from Toast PR, PwC’s Andy Woodfield and President and Vice Chancellor of the University of Manchester, Prof. Nancy Rothwell.

Thank you Merit360 for bringing your energy, enthusiasm and creativity to The Landing and MediaCityUK! We can’t wait to see your ideas and wish you the best of luck in the rest of your UK travels.
